Continuation of cowling production. Since the plating of the side blinker had deteriorated, I decided to put a plating sheet on it.

Lightly sand the whole thing.

I tried pasting the plated sheet, but the corner part can’t be pasted well. Trial and error, but crumpled.

I decided to give up the plated sheet and paint it with silver. Scrape off the plated part to remove the step. I use instant glue instead of putty.

I blew primer, blew surfacer, and painted silver. Finally, it is completed by blowing clear.

I will stick the plated molding to the whole cowling. Plating molding(8mm) is for cars. Bend the mall using a hair dryer.

Secure the mall with clothespins using glue.

The corner part is difficult to paste the molding.

It took 2 days to attach the mall. The glue has protruded, so something has to be done.

Also clean the base of the horn and handlebars.

I lost the clip that fixes the headlight, so I made my own.

Covers are attached to the left and right pockets inside the cowling.

The side blinker is completed. It’s not plated, but it’s beautiful.

Basic cowling work completed. The rest is mounting the shield and polishing the painted surface.

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 6)※painting failed. ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ I painted on a sunny day. However, the painting failed. I failed, but I will introduce the process. I thought about various things to draw the symbol mark of Prince. I cut it out using the “cutter compass”. I made a symbol mark using masking tape. It was difficult to cut out the round part. The shape of this symbol is slightly different between the “Purple Rain” photo and the bike on display at Paisley Park. Maybe there are two. …

I noticed that the angle of the seat backrest was skewed. Now that the plating of the sissy bar is complete, it’s time to readjust the fittings and secure them to the seat base. I asked the contractor who requested the plating of the engine guard 10 years ago. The plating was of very high quality. Weld marks are no longer visible. Sissy bar is like new. Fix the seat base. I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 17) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ I’m having trouble making a sheet. It’s my first initiative, and I’m making progress little by little while looking for ways to do it. Fix the carbon pipe backrest made last time to the seat base. Many layers of FRP are layered and hardened. Paste FRP on the back for reinforcement. Originally, it would be better to make the backrest from an iron plate, but I made it from FRP because it does not fit two people and it has …
