Continuation of cowling production. Since the plating of the side blinker had deteriorated, I decided to put a plating sheet on it.

Lightly sand the whole thing.

I tried pasting the plated sheet, but the corner part can’t be pasted well. Trial and error, but crumpled.

I decided to give up the plated sheet and paint it with silver. Scrape off the plated part to remove the step. I use instant glue instead of putty.

I blew primer, blew surfacer, and painted silver. Finally, it is completed by blowing clear.

I will stick the plated molding to the whole cowling. Plating molding(8mm) is for cars. Bend the mall using a hair dryer.

Secure the mall with clothespins using glue.

The corner part is difficult to paste the molding.

It took 2 days to attach the mall. The glue has protruded, so something has to be done.

Also clean the base of the horn and handlebars.

I lost the clip that fixes the headlight, so I made my own.

Covers are attached to the left and right pockets inside the cowling.

The side blinker is completed. It’s not plated, but it’s beautiful.

Basic cowling work completed. The rest is mounting the shield and polishing the painted surface.
