From this time, it is the production of the epidermis of the seat. It’s my first experience, so I’m not sure if it will work.

It is a fake leather seat.  I bought a large size for motorcycles on Amazon.

This fabric is thick enough and flexible.

Roughly cut the sheet according to the seat base.

Prepare a black string and double-sided tape.

Place the string on the thin cloth and sandwich it with double-sided tape.

It’s called a “piping code”.

Sew across the “piping cord”. It took a long time.

I managed to take shape. It took about 5 days.

Tight corners are cut into the “piping cord”.

The edge of the seat is sewn with 3 pieces of fabric.

I sewed it cleanly.

↑This is how you sew.

I added a sponge to the part where the thickness was not enough.

There is a diamond mark on the “Purple Rain” sheet, so reproduce it. Place the sponge between the pieces of fabric and sew them together.

There is a wrinkle in the fabric, so I will fix it.

Sew the pinched part.

No more wrinkles.

The sheet of “Purple Rain” is reproduced because it has seams in the back.

Sew the cut fabric.

Next time, we will put a diamond mark on the sheet.

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 16) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ I’m going to start making sheets now.   I don’t have confidence in sheet production. But I want to make it as I imagined it, so I will do my best to make it myself. Remodeled based on a used broken seat. As a result of thinking about what to do with the frame, I decided to make it a carbon pipe. I bought it on Amazon. Fix the carbon pipe with FEP. Mask the motorcycle so that the FRP does not …

Building Prince’s Purple Rain Motorcycle Replica (Honda CM400T Custom) in Japan – No. 13

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 13) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ Last time I made a sissy bar and cowling stay. I installed a spacer because there was a gap between the sissy bar stay and the main body. Fits without gaps. The sissy bar fitting is now complete. After that, just send it to the plating shop. Cut the excess part of the cowl stay to give a sharp impression. Install headlights. Ported from the conventional cowling. The shape of the light stay differs depending on the type of “Windjammer”. The “Windjammer 4” …

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 11) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ This time, we processed the stay of the sissy bar and adjusted the mounting. Above is the previous state. The shape is different from “Purple Rain”, so I made it with a new iron plate. I cut the previous stay by myself, but the shape was not good. The stay I made this time is sharper than before. It’s also lightweight. Drill holes for mounting. The main body is also cut a little so that the stay does not …

Building Prince’s Purple Rain Motorcycle Replica (Honda CM400T Custom) in Japan – No. 15

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 15) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ Continuation of cowling production. Since the plating of the side blinker had deteriorated, I decided to put a plating sheet on it. Lightly sand the whole thing. I tried pasting the plated sheet, but the corner part can’t be pasted well. Trial and error, but crumpled. I decided to give up the plated sheet and paint it with silver. Scrape off the plated part to remove the step. I use instant glue instead of putty. I blew primer, blew surfacer, and painted …

Building Prince’s Purple Rain Motorcycle Replica (Honda CM400T Custom) in Japan – No. 3

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 3) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ From this time, we will proceed with the work to bring the exterior closer to the “Purple Rain” motorcycle. First, change the cowling from the current “Windjammer 4” to “Windjammer 2 or 3” and modify it. The original paint is removed and the corners are rounded. Is the cowling material ABS? Make a rough shape with FRP. I put a screw in the joint to reinforce it. Then put putty on the surface of FRP. Also, in order to change the …
