As a result of thinking about what to do with the frame, I decided to make it a carbon pipe. I bought it on Amazon.

Fix the carbon pipe with FEP. Mask the motorcycle so that the FRP does not stick to it.

Building Prince’s Purple Rain Motorcycle Replica (Honda CM400T Custom) in japan- No. 4

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 4) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ This time, following the last cowling modification, we processed the gasoline tank. The first step is to remove the paint on the gas tank. Pour zinc paint to prevent the gas tank from rusting. A special solvent is used to remove the paint. The paint will peel off immediately, so scrape it off with a scraper. After removing all the paint, put putty on the dented part and scrape it off. Also fill in the dent where the Honda …

Since the plating of the side blinker had deteriorated, I decided to put a plating sheet on it. Lightly sand the whole thing. I tried pasting the plated sheet, but the corner part can’t be pasted well. Trial and error, but crumpled. I decided to give up the plated sheet and paint it with silver. Scrape off the plated part to remove the step. I use instant glue instead of putty. I blew primer, blew surfacer, and painted …

Building Prince’s Purple Rain Motorcycle Replica (Honda CM400T Custom) in japan- No. 17

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 17) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ I’m having trouble making a sheet. It’s my first initiative, and I’m making progress little by little while looking for ways to do it. Fix the carbon pipe backrest made last time to the seat base. Many layers of FRP are layered and hardened. Paste FRP on the back for reinforcement. Originally, it would be better to make the backrest from an iron plate, but I made it from FRP because it does not fit two people and it has …

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 8) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ Last time I made some mistakes, but I was able to paint the exterior in a beautiful purple color. This time, I painted the inside of the cowling black. The cowling before painting is made of black resin. However, it will not be beautiful after 40 years, so I will paint it. I flattened the corners with putty. There is a hole for a cigar socket, but since it is not used, it will be closed after painting. Apply a …

I’m building a motorcycles for Prince “Purple Rain”(No. 14) ☆Click here for the First article ☆ ☆Click here for the completed motorcycle☆ I thought there was no part to fix the headlight lens, but there was. It seems to cover this ring from the top of the lens and fix it with a screw. I didn’t know this method last time. Finally, attach the headlight to the cowling. Mask the cowling so that it is not damaged. It has a unique retro feel not found in recent motorcycles. It’s like a living creature. Next, install the side blinkers. This “Windjammer 2” had a side …
