I bought a CM400T after admiring Prince’s motorcycle riding scene, and finally realized what I wanted to do.

To be honest, I was worried about whether it would be completed, but I will report that it has been completed safely.

Please take a look.

It’s the kid motorcycle.

For those who are seeing it for the first time, I did my best to make it.

This article is the 22nd time. It’s finally completed after the 22nd time.

Actually, I thought that it would be completed in about the 10th time, but it was naive.

Endless attention to detail・・・

More than two years have passed since the production started. I washed the motorcycle for the first time in a while and took a picture.

It’s a shiny body. Made in the countryside of Hiroshima, Japan.

The CM400T also comes with a center stand.

Maintainability is also good.

Comparison with the Motorcycle on the Purple Rain CD Cover

The handlebars of the motorcycle I made this time are lower than the motorcycle with the purple rain jacket, but this genuine handlebar also appears in one scene in the play. So it’s not wrong.

The mirror is stainless steel and is an aftermarket product.

Detailed Look at the Purple Rain Motorcycle Replica

Close-up of the custom cowling on the Purple Rain motorcycle replica

I had a hard time making the shape of the cowling.

Compared to Purple Rain, there are small differences such as the shape of the tip and the position of the blinker.

This blinker is CB750.

Polished the shield.

There is a gap between it and the gas tank.   This is because the cowling is large.

Making the seat was the hardest part.   but it turned out to be a good shape.

Thanks to this cowling, you can run even on cold days.    But in the summer, the wind doesn’t hit the body, so it’s hot and I can’t run.

Motorcycles of this era had narrow rear wheels.Old Japanese motorcycles have narrow rear wheels.

The CM400T not only has an engine starter button, but also a kick pedal.   the Kid used it a lot.

The wheels are also repainted in the same black as the frame.   The fender is an aftermarket product.
Brake calipers have been replaced with CBR400F.

The right side is simple.

The muffler and chain guard are aftermarket products.

The rear shock is for CB400F. The rear wheel has also been repainted, so it’s beautiful.

The purple rain motorcycle has a different shape, and the gas tank has a plated fuel filler port. I think it’s a CM250T gas tank.

This CM400T is a motorcycle manufactured in 1980, but it is strong. Honda motorcycles are great.

I am very happy to have a Purple Rain motorcycle at home.
